We are always looking for the transformative company for our next investment. We look for great idea that have been proven in the marketplace coupled with an experienced management that can bring the company to life. We search through dozens of great opportunities before finding the one that fits the bill. Once we find it, we begin our detailed due diligence process to properly vet the company. Finally, we negotiate a competitive term sheet with the entrepreneurs before we open the company for funding.
When we reach the funding stage, we know that we have a great opportunity, so we begin to talk about it. First, we reach out to our investor base and let them know about the fantastic company that we expect to fund and the general terms of the funding. Once we have garnered enough interest, we create an investment vehicle and collect the funds through our site. Finally, we give our new portfolio company a check in full, and we take receipt of the equity.
While Funding is the most visible portion of our process, monitor and guide” is really where we do most of our work. While we stay up-to-date with our portfolio companies and communicate any major news back to our investors, we stay involved with our companies on a day to day basis. We connect them with potential customers, and give them the necessary expertise to help them stay successful.
Finally, the capstone of our process is the exit. This can either happen with an IPO, an institutional acquisition, or a secondary buy-out. We help our portfolio companies make strategic decisions and get to each subsequent stage of their lifecycle including the Exit. We connect our portfolio companies with companies looking to acquire solutions and with IPO advisors who can take the company public if it makes strategic sense. Any proceeds are then routed back to our investors.
